Africa in Pictures : Africa Foto Fair 2025 Shines in Grand‑Bassam and Abidjan
Until December 7, 2025, Côte d’Ivoire is hosting, Côte d’Ivoire hosts the 4th edition of the Africa Foto Fair, a must‑attend event for contemporary African photography, taking place in Grand‑Bassam and Abidjan. A unique opportunity to celebrate visual arts, heritage, and emerging talent.

The 4th edition of the Africa Foto Fair (AFF) returns to Côte d’Ivoire, spanning Grand‑Bassam and Abidjan. Founded by Ethiopian photographer Aïda Muluneh and organized by AMS Studio, the fair has become a highlight of African visual creativity.
The kickoff takes place on November 12 at the Institut français in Abidjan will feature the inaugural exhibition “Ethiopia: Past and Future,” paying tribute to the archives and memory of the director’s home country.
A hundred photographers from thirty countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, exploring the power of imagery through memory, identity, and modernity
Exhibitions will continue in Grand‑Bassam, a historic UNESCO‑listed town, where colonial houses, streets, and the Maison de l’Art will be transformed into open‑air exhibition spaces. This edition will gather around a hundred photographers from thirty countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, exploring the power of imagery through memory, identity, and modernity.
Beyond exhibitions, AFF 2025 will offer workshops, panels, film screenings, DJ nights, and guided bike tours in Grand‑Bassam, combining art, heritage, and social engagement. For Côte d’Ivoire, hosting this edition is an opportunity to showcase local talent, invigorate the visual arts scene, and enhance the country’s cultural influence in West Africa.
