Egypt : first EU-Egypt bilateral summit in Brussels on october 22, 2025

On October 22, 2025, Brussels will host the first EU-Egypt bilateral summit. António Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, will represent the EU, while President Abdel Fattah Al Sissi will represent Egypt. Leaders will focus on strengthening the strategic and comprehensive partnership covering politics, economy, trade, security, migration, and human capital, as well as discussing global issues such as Ukraine and the Middle East.
