On October 8, 2025, the Sovereign Strategic Investment Fund (FONSIS) unveiled the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (REEF) at the Invest in Senegal Forum. With 135 billion FCFA (~$220M), the fund will support renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, attract green investments, and promote Senegal’s energy transition, in partnership with Africa Climate Ventures and private investors.
