Botswana : Gaborone to Host African Biodiversity Summit from November 2 to 5

Botswana will host the African Biodiversity Summit in Gaborone from November 2 to 5, in collaboration with the African Union Commission. Under the theme “Leveraging Africa’s Biodiversity for Prosperity,” the event aims to turn the continent’s rich natural wealth into tangible development. Dr Patricia Mogomotsi, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, said the summit will promote a united African voice in global environmental negotiations and strengthen partnerships for biodiversity frameworks. Over 46 ministers and international stakeholders are expected to attend.
