Zimbabwe : Launch of Zero-Emission Cooling System to Combat Climate Change 

October 6, 2025, In Harare, the UNDP and the Government of Zimbabwe unveiled the Low Temperature Evaporative Cooling System (LTEIHT-AC), developed by Phokeng Global Health and Environmental Solutions. Built from local materials, this zero-emission system operates without electricity or harmful refrigerants, offering a sustainable response to rising heat. Dr. Ayodele Odusola, UNDP Resident Representative, hailed it as “a practical climate innovation that builds resilience and green jobs.”
