Ghana : Cocoa Price Hike for 2025/26 Season

Ghana, the world’s second-largest cocoa producer, announced on Thursday, 3 September 2025, a 12.3% increase in the price paid to cocoa farmers for the 2025/26 season. The price rises from 3,228.75 to 3,625 cedis per 64 kg bag (58,000 cedis per ton, €3.92/kg). The measure aims to improve farmers’ income despite global cocoa prices stabilizing around $7,000/ton. The government also continues support programs, including free agricultural inputs and scholarships for cocoa farmers’ children.
