Algeria : $2.3 Billion Sovereign Sukuk to Launch in November

Algeria will issue its first-ever sovereign sukuk in early November 2025, valued at $2.3 billion (296 billion Algerian dinars), according to a government document. Open to Algerians residing inside and outside the country, the sukuk, backed by state-owned real estate, will provide a fixed 6% annual return over seven years. This move aims to diversify financing sources and strengthen domestic Islamic financial markets amid ongoing economic reforms.
