British International Investment (BII) has committed $20m to Acumen’s H2R Amplify debt vehicle, aiming to scale clean energy access in 17 frontier African economies. The programme targets over 50 million people, will cut 3 million tonnes of CO₂e, and is 2X Challenge-qualified to advance gender equality in the off-grid solar sector.
