Niger : GDP +14.4% in 2025, World Bank reports

Niger is projected to achieve a record 14.4% GDP growth in 2025, according to a World Bank report released on September 4, 2025. This surpasses the previous record of 8.9% set in 2024. The growth is driven by the nationalization of mining companies, a fourfold increase in oil production over two years, and large-scale agricultural development. This economic surge follows a break with France since July 2023.
