Space diplomacy : Senegal signed the Artemis Accords

Senegal has become the 56th nation to sign the Artemis Accords, affirming its commitment to responsible and transparent space exploration. Artemis Accords is an international agreement for peaceful, sustainable lunar exploration promoting transparency, sustainability and resource utilization in space led by NASA. The signing took place at NASA headquarters in Washington on July 24, 2025, following a meeting between Presidents Faye and Trump. The accord strengthens U.S.-Senegal relations and marks a major milestone in Senegal’s emerging space diplomacy and international scientific cooperation.
