Botswana : to host AviaDev Africa 2026, boosting air connectivity and tourism

Botswana has been confirmed as the host country for AviaDev Africa 2026, a key aviation development forum focused on enhancing air connectivity across Africa. The announcement came at the closing of the 2025 edition in Zanzibar. Backed by a multi-agency bid involving the Civil Aviation Authoritytourism board, and private sector, Botswana aims to leverage the event to support economic diversification and increase tourism. According to CAAB CEO Dr Bao Mosinyi, infrastructure upgrades and visa policy discussions are already underway.
